China’s probably been doing corn starch since they had corn. They knew how from other veg like sweet potato.

I make royal icing and dunk the cookies in, much faster than hand icing with fluffy stuff.

Although I’d try setting aside the dough for a couple hours to let all the dry ingredients soak up the wet ones.

I love the “sweet” spices. With my gut and hub’s GERD and kid’s wussiness, we’ve had to quit with the spicy stuff. I used to make burritos with jalapeño relish.
