Fantastic turnout in Iowa City! #handsoff

This is how Iowa voted for president. That bright blue square is the county where the University of Iowa is. I work at the U of I hospital. I know people who are conducting research. They're scared.

As predicted Marianette Miller-Meeks did not show, but there was quite a turnout in Iowa City this afternoon. #Resist

I'll admit, Kentucky wasn't on my radar for upholding DEI, but here we are. (Time to plan my summer vacay to KY?)

Someday in the future, I want to be able to tell my kids and grandkids that I was on the 'right' side of history. Attending events like this is how we can show where we stand. Even though our Rep very likely won't be there, I can say I was there. I showed up. I fought against the fascism.

Iowa friends: Stand Up for Science rally on Friday, March 7th, noon - 1 pm on the lawn outside the University of Iowa Medical Research buildings. There is a public parking ramp right across the street.
