If Beltway reporters understood how the Kremlin works, they would have picked up on a key email buried in the Epstein trove released yesterday. Instead, official Washington and the media have largely missed what has turned this story into a national security matter.

Step 1 to pulling her name off the discharge petition and blaming Democrats for making her do it.
A normal reaction to today's news, dear Nancy, would be to express shock and horror at the significant possibility that the president of the United States is a child molester.

The most striking part of the Epstein disclosures is how very many powerful people, including reporters, continued to treat Epstein, *a convicted sex offender*, as a great guy to pal around with. To see if they learned their lesson now, let's see if Summers is still a NYT contributor tomorrow.

Scott Jennings just called Epstein's associates "globalists." Why not just call them Jews and be done with it? Good going, CNN.

If Democratic leaders in Washington have a unifying principle these days, it isn’t progressivism or pragmatism — it’s fear. Fear of bad headlines. Fear of Wall Street. Fear of Fox News. Fear of Donald Trump. Fear, most of all, of their own shadows.

Buried in these new Epstein emails is something the press has not picked up on — something with respect to timing that makes sense if you know of Trump’s relationship with Fox News and how it intersected with his presidential ambitions.

Trump’s MAGA-style socialism is less about protecting workers and more about concentrating power in his own hands and in the hands of his fellow billionaires. The end result speaks for itself: diminished private autonomy, increased central power, and markets reshaped by politics.

Trump’s clemency order was not about the past. It is entirely about sending a message to his base, and to the rest of us, about the future.

And that message is deeply disturbing — another in a long line of messages he has sent on the same topic, which Dems and media ignore at the nation’s peril.

No, Senator. We understand perfectly. You’ve just forgotten who you work for.

Why would Democratic senators say one thing in public and something completely different in private? Why is it in their interest to fold now, when the American people are so squarely behind them?

Want to know why Dems caved like the feckless incompetents that they are? THE FILIBUSTER. It's all about protecting the filibuster, which Republicans threatened to nuke. But at this point, what's the point in preserving it, if the mere threat of it makes enough of them give Trump what he wants.
November 10, 2025 at 2:28 AM
Disgusted, demoralized and despondent. Democrats held the biggest protest marches in history, swept nearly every toss-up election from coast to coast *this week* and saw the same polling: voters blamed the GOP for the shutdown. They didn't *get* rolled -- they rolled themselves.
November 10, 2025 at 1:24 AM
If Dems cave tonight on the shutdown without any guarantees on an ACA extension vote, call it a day on this leadership team and primary every single one of the members who made this happen.
