How can we reawaken the body’s own anti-viral defenses to fight brain cancer?

Delighted to share our new study where we now answer this question, led by the brilliant @alvarezprado.bsky.social who is now an independent PI at LIH Luxembourg 👏👏

🚀 Exciting news! I’ve been awarded the EACR-Mark Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship to support my project on CD8+ T cell (dys)function in brain metastasis in the Johanna Joyce Lab.

Huge thanks to everyone who has supported me on this journey! 🙌 Looking forward to advancing this research.
Well done to the first recipients of the EACR-Mark Foundation postdoc fellowships 🎉🎊

And a happy coincidence that all three awardees are women scientists in the labs of three women PIs 🙌

A year ago, I received my PhD from the University of Oxford —
a moment that marked years of dedication to cancer research. My time at Oxford was intense, challenging, and deeply rewarding, shaping me as a scientist. Today, as a postdoctoral researcher in Lausanne, I carry that same passion forward!
