All right, I’m going to make coffee, but I will leave you with this: one of the most radical acts of resistance both to fascism and to Covid right now is to wear a mask. Build communities around wearing masks, etc. Get vaccinated do what you can to protect yourselves and others in your life.

I’m saying between 14 and 19 million because the numbers from differing sources vary but the reality is we are still losing thousands of people a month worldwide to this disease and people claiming that masks etc. “are just too much” are parroting right wing propaganda

In 2020 and 2021 anywhere between 14 and 19 million people died from Covid and these people have the temerity to claim the Covid mitigation strategies like wearing a mask are the real issue and irritation like those millions of people didn’t die from Covid.

It is also very telling that these peoples whole schtick before the comments were closed is “ha ha ha we can’t shut the world down forever just because some people don’t want to get sick”. This is just rehash wing propaganda from people who claim they are leftists.

The reality is Covid is still raging. Thousands of people are dying a month and we don’t know the long-term cumulative damage it does anyone making claims like the person quoted above is not just dangerous. They are actively working to harm themselves and others.

Gee I wonder who these ghouls are happy recently died so they couldn’t speak out against this open anti-science take.

These people are fundamentally no different than any right winger denying Covid or climate collapse using the “Reality is wrong because it means I am part of the problem” logic
