Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT): "Whether you like it or not, [immigrants] have Constitutional rights."
I  know your goal is to try to make life as hard as possible for immigrants.

So far, folks have come to an initial consensus on these demands:

✔️ Repeal Citizens United.
✔️ Tax the billionaires.
✔️ Protect Social Security.
✔️ Due process for all.
✔️ Universal healthcare.

This may change as more input comes in.

Day 1 of Meta blackout. I have always known that it’s a habit- but whoa, the number of times I’ve nearly opened the fb app already today is staggering. If I break this habit I am quite sure I can finally finish all those projects I’ve started. 🧐

1/2: We have reason to believe that events on 4/19 and/or the 50501 Movement may be misrepresented by the Trump admin in an attempt to justify the use of military force.

Let us be clear: our movement is pro-democracy and firmly grounded in non-violence.

Dorothy B. Porter changed libraries 💜

The Dewey Decimal System used to only have two classifications for Black people: 325 (colonization) & 326 (slavery). Each book by a Black person was put into one of these classifications. A book of poetry? Classified as colonization.
