The project is so divisive for Tahoe's community that day-long hearings and meetings are the norm. Last month, we all experienced a bit of deja-vu when more than 100 people showed up to speak, most of whom opposed the project. But the county approved it anyways.

Location is everything. Because the ski resort is located four miles outside an invisible boundary, Tahoe's normal rules about development don't apply. But the cars will still come. The project's own enviro analysis estimates hundreds more cars will come to Tahoe every single day .
Ski traffic in Tahoe is already a nightmare. This project could make it worse.
Lake Tahoe watchdog groups say a 93.3-acre project in Olympic Valley will degrade the lake and cause more headaches for the community.
