Today we welcome the #fullmoon, it is the largest #supermoon of the year. Known as the beaver moon and trading, snow and tree moon. This #haiku was inspired by seeing the almost full moon a few days ago waiting for the bus home, over #EdinburghCastle my own artwork

the Sturgeon moon this use was Native American Algonquin use it has several others depending on culture and location. A few are Dog Days, Fruit, Women's, Dispute, Corn Lightening Wyrt Wyrt is the Anglo Saxon name, a plant used Ito brew And another novice painting to illustrate my written work

my #ikebana inspired display to celebrate #Lammas the first harvest, usually grain. It is an ancient #Celtic celebration, Sunflower, oats, handmade flowers from recycled sari silk. Red, yellow and orange candles this festival colours a mirror image for fun
