That being said, if you're taking the "dirty" money, spend some of it on those in our community who can't make ends meet. More money coming into the community only helps it.

You can't choose your community and we still have to protect each other. I just think we're signaling that these bullying behaviors are okay if the trans woman is "bad" enough and then act surprised when the definition of "bad" increases to innocuous jokes about video game mods.

Perhaps this is a death of nuance or a blowing everything up to equal harm situation, because clearly the things that are being said are different than other "Trans woman of the day" moments. However, the reaction and response seems to be similar.

This isn't a defense of what they say or believe. This is just me seeing this and wondering how we call-in in a community where so much of the conversation is public? We don't have direct personal access to one another for these discussions, so they only become call outs.

In both of those jobs, most days I never saw another trans woman, but they were held up as paragons of wokeness in the community. The treatment I experienced pushed me out of the local community entirely.
I've been treated better by cishet 'liberal' places that are non-political on the subject.

I feel guilty for doing okay during The Horrors even while they threaten everything. Just trying to control what I can and enjoy what I have while I have it.

First, I have to feel like I'm letting my therapist down by crying and not making jokes instead. After the reassurance, the crying definitely hits different.
