It’s creek season! I need some advice. (But first a comic from 2018 that my brother still razzes me about but I think is completely acceptable) I’m looking for water shoes w/ tread, durability & can be worn for light hiking and rock and tree scramblin’

One of my favorite then/now from Tenements, Towers & Trash because not much has really changed? The 1910 one has broadway show posters, coke ads, clothing shops and food in the storefronts. 2015 is basically the same (conceptually) except no food shops, and everything is uglier

Photo thread: Some pics I took around Chinatown last week. I mostly take photos of buildings/storefronts/signs to compare them old pics and I used to get annoyed when people were in the way, but now I like it. But I’m not gonna start drawing people into my illustrations bc I hate drawing people

Prepping to go to NYC for book events by looking through my old pics from when I lived there. (Please note that the pics with kids in them are almost two decades old, so I not violating anyone’s privacy unless they grew up to be an adult with an unchanged baby face.) come see me next week!!!

1 of 3 comics on @newyorker.com about my contentious relationship with the Google home speaker. Don’t @ me about how it’s invading my privacy if you’re reading this on anything other than a private browser at a public library, because *glass houses* the rest at www.newyorker.com/humor/shouts...

315 Bowery in the 40s, 70s, 80s and 2000s. Its earliest incarnation was One Palace Bar & Grill, its last (and current) is John Varvados. In between it was the famous CBCG. (The paperback of Tenements, Towers & Trash is coming out this May, preorder now!)
