Wasn’t feeling at all Christmassy before tonight but have just got back from a couple of hours at the Christmas Lights trail at Belton House near Grantham. Absolutely brilliant production! With hot chocolate and pigs in blankets hot dogs! Now I’m ready!! 🎄

My wife and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary last year. We decided not to bother with presents for each other “We have each other”
But then we saw this amazing rose in our local garden centre and decided this could be our pressy to each other. The most amazing rose!

I’m an atheist. I don’t believe in God, and I have a problem with many organised religions in the way they conduct themselves.
But I love religious buildings. From the magnificent Lincoln Cathedral close to where I grew up through to the beautiful modern mosque near where my daughter lives in Dubai

Just love clematis. Can be quite temperamental! This one wouldn’t flower for me for 3 years - but moved to a different part of the garden with LESS sun and it has thrived!

Nothing reminds me of English summer more than roses. General rule of thumb - prune roses by about 2 thirds at the end of Feb to encourage flowering - and this is one of my most successful specimens in one of my customers gardens

Today’s flower to remind us of summer days, Alliums take over my garden May through June. I’ve got a number of different varieties and I love them all!
