1) SCOTUS overturning Citizen's United OR
2) Congress passing a Constitutional Amendment and having that ratified by 3/4 of the states.

Never mind that the powdered "blow" users received less stiff sentences than crack users even though the substances were identical. One was used by the black community and the other mostly by whites.

The whole thing hinges on how SCOTUS rules on the voting rights act. In any event, if Dems win both the Senate and the presidency in 2028, they need to add 4 to 6 justices to the court, which would require nuking the filibuster but so what?

This is by design. It's called Liberal Nationalism where they care more about protecting the system and getting re-elected than actual progress. Establishment Democrats think, "what other choice do you have?" Certainly not the Republicans who are far worse.

If they sweep in 2028, Democrats will need to be bold. They will need to nuke the filibuster, do all that stuff she said, expand SCOTUS, reverse Citizen's United. They will need to be bold like the Radical Republicans were after the Civil War and enact real change. No wusses.

Wages haven't come close to keeping up with inflation for over 45 years. When it was 4% inflation, you got a 2% COLA. Anything over that was "merit". Give me a fucking break.

Too bad that because of the 8 they no longer have the 60 votes to extend the tax credits let alone get it out of committee to a floor vote next month "as promised".
