A few days late but here are the 57 games I finished playing in 2025:

Decided to finally play Mass Effect 3 Legendary Edition... and was kind of taken aback by how bad it looked... it turns out it was still on 1080p... I really don't know if 1080p would look good on a 1080p monitor but in this case it didn't look good on my 4K monitor at all.

I just finished playing Borderlands 2.
It's not entirely the type of game I'm into. But with some mods I was able to have an enjoyable content-tourist time. I especially don't care for the loot in these types of games. I don't like the randomized tiered system or the grinding.

ugh... I should not have updated my Nvidia Drivers yesterday.

Using RTX HDR causes a black screen (not a crash, you can still hear the game/menu in the back, the screen is just fully black).
And I basically use RTX HDR in all my games.
[Situation: 3090TI through HDMI to an LG C1.]

Last week I finished playing the last game in the Risen series; Risen 3: Titan Lords

I thought I should finally return to the Piranha Bytes games as sadly they have been shut down since I the last time I played one in 2020. They've basically been shut down in the Embracer disaster.

I just did a bit of research about Reality Pump (makers of Two Worlds and much further back KnightShift). I think Reality Pump is dead (although I have found no official comment), a bunch of developers seem to now be working for Bloober Team SA. And those who aren't are working for other companies,

I just finished playing Gears of War Reloaded.

It took me about 11 hours, first the right side playthrough and then a left side playthrough where I also went after the remaining COG Tags.

I own the original Games for Windows Live version but had never finished it.

Wow this hidden object game looks very cursed:

I am wondering what Xbox-related thing I was playing in 2016?

2008-2011 I was playing quite a few Games for Windows Live games. in 2021 and 2022 I was playing some Windows Xbox App store games. And I got an Xbox 360 for the first time in 2024. But I'm a bit stumped by the blip in 2016.

Just finished playing Amercan McGee's Alice.

I content-touristed myself through this one. I used a compilation mod to update it a bit: www.nexusmods.com/americanmcge...

I had fun, an interesting way to use the idTech 3 engine for a platform game and a very different setting.

I wanted to some comments about the last batch of Next Fest games. Most games I chose based on Cover and description and those I got from some articles/youtube recommendations turned out to be great.
-Sadly two point and click adventures turned out to use AI for the art/audio, so skipped those.

I just finished playing Ys: The Vanished Omens (from Ys I & II Chronicles+).

First Ys game I played after the demo for Nordics. I content-touristed myself through this one because I didn't want to spend too much time on it, but still took me 6 hours.

Just finished playing the demo for Ambrosia Sky. Played it for some 1,5 hours.

Wishlisted. Kind of combination of Portal, Firewatch and System Shock. Exploration puzzles. Atmospheric with a mystery to solve. If I had to use one word to describe the menus, I'd say "crunchy."

Just finished the free trial for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Wishlisted. (A bit silly because I would have bought this game eventually anyway, I mostly wishlist games I wouldn't remember otherwise).
I got my fill with the trial as I managed to play it for nearly 20 hours.
November 10, 2025 at 11:33 PM
I'm not even done with all my Next Fest Demos and now there is a free trial for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2?

I just finished playing the demo for Bubsy 4D. 3D Platformer.

Wishlisted. If it wasn't for @pc98audi.bsky.social on @digitalfoundry.bsky.social I probably wouldn't know who Bubsy was.

Just finished playing the demo for Kingdom of Night. Isometric ARPG.

Wishlisted. The vibe of the game is '80s Pulp Horror, obviously also Stranger Things and Stephen King. Zombies and Demons. Engaging story and larger conspiracy in the town to explore. Looking forward to continue the story!

Just finished playing the demo for Servant of the Lake. Point and Click.

Wishlisted. It has a very flash game feel. Clean drawing style. Feels kind of set in the late 1800s (I don't like using terms like 'Victorian'). I never really knew their other games but I'm planning to check them out too.

Just finished playing the demo for Starsand Island. Cozy Life/Crafting/Sim like thing.

Wishlisted. But bit on the fence as there were a lot of stutters. Also at first I thought I could focus on adventuring alone but you kind of have use stuff from the other Certifications to advance in others.

The 3 fastest graphics cards for this Witcher 3 Benchmark and my Current and 4 previously used graphics cards.

I got the 560ti in an online sweepstakes after I already had a 580.

I paid way too much for the 3070 in the crypto mining inflation. And got a second hand 3090 Ti a year later.
