Overall a welcome step in the right direction, but steps to ensure the participation of big privateers alongside M-Sport (like ProDrive, MEM, R-Technology, Oreca, etc) would be beneficial. It would be purelu cautionary in case OEMs are not the future of rallying.

BEVs would have issues on most rallies as of now, but a remote charging network should be doable. The question is, who takes the costs? But definitely a welcome addition. Maybe hydrogen is included as well? Also, I’m expecting the max power output to be around 330-340 bhp, as Rally1 will be the 🤴

Turbos that require 2,500 production models to homologate. Again, hoping that you can lift any 1.6 engine and tune it without OEM approval for privateers to make a business out of developing these cars. Also freedom with either BEV or ICE is amazing, and definitely something the sport needs.

3. Rally2 transmission + brakes. Great addition, as these are mostly made by third parties such as Brembo. More business, cheaper for everybody, great addition. Double wishbones should allow for marginal performance gains and more tuneability.
4. Rally2 spec engine. Probably referring to the 1.6

2. Spaceframe chassis. This is great for two reasons: It’s safer, and allows for the usage of multiple vehicle styles, like SUVs as silhouettes. Hoping that saloons/C-segment is allowed too - B-segment is dying. Also, non-OEMs should be allowed to build cars that don’t require OEM permission.
