Whilst there is a gap of over a minute, it is good to see Camilli and the new i20N Step2 having a decent pace. Whilst upgrades are more tarmac-oriented, reportedly engine map upgrades were amongst the things needed overall. Looking forward to seeing the i20 surprising in the tarmac events. #WRC

Been in Lapland testing new cars in winter conditions for about 2 weeks now. Then it’s back to the South, weekend off, and back for #arcticlaplandrally on Wednesday. What a line-up there will be - FRC2 or #Rally3 is especially interesting! Will be posting updates as we go along. #rally #racing

1. 345,000€ cost cap. VERY hard to enforce, as Rally2s are 300k or more. Also, would make WRC2 kind of pointless. But it would bring many privateers into Rally1, and Rally2 has a solid footing in local comp.

Genesis entering WEC and IMSA is another W for both organisations regarding Hypercar and hopefully the program has longevity like they say. It also further casts a shadow to Hyundai’s WRC program. 2026 exit seems even more likely as Abiteboul returns to circuits.

310th & final Audi R8 LMS GT3 rolled out of Ingolstadt today. Sad to see one of the most successful manufacturers pull out of GT3. Why did Audi feel the need to pull the plug on a profitable program? Is their F1 program really struggling so much?

If so, it’s a really worrying sign.

Big if true! Whilst F1 does not need 11th team, there’s no reason to restrict it for only the 10 current ones. Especially if a huge OEM is interested!

Let’s hope Caddy gets in. They’d have quite a few home races - even more reason to let them race.
