The gameplay layer is where the action happens, but properly decorating the background and foreground really sets the tone and atmosphere of the game.

This bullet time mechanic is by far the best addition we have done to Bionic Bay. It's fun to use and looks quite appealing.

Challenge is to design levels with enough difficulty.

Here are the physical assets that I used when making levels for Badland 2. It was actually so easy to make the gameplay layer with purely black assets. Super fast to combine assets and create what ever shapes I needed.

It takes a lot of time to create a level spot like this purely from a playtesting perspective. A lot of just playing around with different approaches and making tiny changes in the level editor.

This spot is almost done but the ultra glitchy ending still needs work... 🫠
