You know what bugs me - unethical behaviour. So editing, splicing whatever you want to call it was wrong, stupid and unnecessary. There’s a lot of concern over AI clips creating a false narrative. To me this is no better.

Completely agree. We saw this same scenario with Blair/Brown govt at the end and look what bloody happened! 14 yrs of Tory shit SO much worse than anything we had under Labour.

Though the video splicing is not a left/right problem. And BBC Arabic obviously needed corrective oversight, which I would hope the left would flag up.

Funny you say that, the attack on the Beeb brought Restore Trust’s yearly takeover attempts of the National Trust to mind. Exhausting that we have to be constantly hyper-vigilant to repel these relentless assaults on our institutions.
