I need to write up my Sally Kirkland stories. In 1980 I understudied Olivia in a Hollywood black box production. Sally produced and starred as Viola. Halfway through, the Olivia got a TV job and I got to go on for the rest of the run.

This is a wonderful book! Both for the author’s insights into artists I already admired but also for the research it prompted me to do into the artists I was less familiar with.
