... which kind of underscores who the problem is here.

JC's party isn't even in the polling yet. And PR at least gives a possibility of keeping out the right. All I'm saying is, Labour can't do what they're doing and still think it's legitimate to ask for my vote.

Labour could give us PR if they don't want the right in power. I'm not up for them selling up their principles then telling us we have to vote for them. And right now the best hope we have is an effective (Green) voice that actually opposes the right anyway.

People remember the carefree times of their youth. They think those were the best times for everyone. Even when they recognise this when they're young and make fun of the older people for it.

My daughter gets really mad that the outfits for women in Baldurs Gate are so much less cool than the ones for men. Must be the same in other games. She doesn't want to change pronouns, just get clothing equality!

Yeah, what's with the no blinking or facial expression???

That's almost the whole point of art, to me! (To make commentary and reflect the world, I mean).

Interesting to think, with all the celebration about Mamdani winning, that Starmer Labour would have expelled him

I'm not a fan, but I am a bit fed up of being asked to be outraged by mistakes I could imagine making myself after suffering the blatant swindling that went unpunished by the last lot

This may need to be a whole blog post with examples and a timeline drawn out. But thinking about this helps with a consistent approach through the story, will engage the reader with the storytelling, and mean you get better value from your copyeditor, who won't have to guess which tense to use!

Labour is not inspiring people, is looking like pretty much more of the same, and is validating Farage's points. That's what's driving people to the right - the offer of something loudly different. The Green wave shows what's inspiring people, and is the best hope of countering Reform.

Greens are also running on this basis - and in fact celebrating migrants

Labour needs to pay attention to what policies people are saying they want, introduce PR, and stop holding people to ransom at election time by saying we have to vote tactically for them. If Labour loses, and they will, it'll be because they didn't do that

I was already gone by the general election. It seems slightly perverse, but that was my moment of realisation that a better party could win - or at least have substantial influence.
