Red Cross ultimately ended up in Russian captivity. Access to Ukrainian prisoners of war still does not exist and most likely will not, yet the ICRC has often criticized Ukraine for its actions regarding prisoners of war. For example, the Red Cross sharply criticized Ukrainians for interviewing
