The context of this swift kick was during a conversation with James Boswell, who was talking with Johnson about Bishop Berkeley's philosophy, and Johnson tired of the conversation about idealism/non-materialism and kicked a rock to get Boswell to shut up.

Muscles are built out of these interlaced bands, and they naturally pull in against each other. It takes ATP to break those bonds and get the bands to "relax".

Rigor mortis is what happens when the ATP is depleted and they become stuck.

This week's lesson included a little bottom bar inversion sequence that ended in a tofu hook. (It's halfway to a meathook, get it?) That single arm hang felt funny the first time but after that I was super comfortable with it.
