prompting an LLM is just a preprocessor, and reasoning (chain of thought) models are postprocessors. it's just a heuristic model of preexisting computer science

3 years ago I wanted to build a chat bot IDE and now I can't stand the idea of it anymore, at the time it was just a precursor to something else. This is what rumination and overplanning does to someone. I'm now considering getting back on adderall.

I wonder how many engineers have already created their own coding assistant (co-pilot) tooling using custom or FOSS models.

I'm of the belief that co-pilot can only get worse as it scales up to be largely usable by the majority of people which is primarily js, html - ie, copy pasting code
