It’s time to talk about Michael Wolff. What do those emails reveal about wealth, power & the layers of complicity that keep it all going? Is Wolff acting as heroic truth-teller or is he part of the same machinery that protects problematic men? Let’s talk about it… open.substack.com/pub/electore...

Don’t forget! Tomorrow, the Supreme Court will hear Callais v. Landry — a case that could gut the Voting Rights Act by stripping key protections against racial discrimination. I spoke with Sophia Lin Lakin of the @aclu.org about what this could mean for voters.

The Supreme Court is back in session 🫤 — and one of the first major cases on its docket could gut what’s left of the Voting Rights Act. Callais v. Landry (Oct 15) targets Section 2, which protects voters from racial discrimination.

I spoke with Sophia Lin Lakin of @aclu.org about what’s at stake.

And I had to read this quote from Ida B. Wells at least a half dozen times. It’s that powerful. Watch my full chat with Dr. Keisha N Blain, here: Electorette.substack.com

International human trafficking of children with some of the world’s largest corporate players involved in the coverup. This is why people and companies who seemingly have so much to lose by supporting this president, are still protecting him. This is a bfd…

I’m just going to post these two photos from today without comment.

Feeling low? Let your eyeballs marinate in this image of a time when we had a real leader, who was unafraid to confront small dictators.

Um, Hunter Biden’s baaack. (And apparently Melania is threatening to sue.)

Remember when Trump said on national TV that he trusted Putin over U.S. Intellegence Agencies? Perhaps people should have listened to Hillary instead of whatever misogyny-laden drivel folks were listening to back in 2016.

When the Honduran government tried to repeal the law that granted these “corporate cities” status as “special economic zones,” Honduras Próspera Inc., **a U.S. company** sued the Honduras government for $11 billion.

We should be going in the direction of DC statehood, but this is the exact opposite. If successful, it would make the U.S. entirely ungovernable, and create a nightmare like it did in Honduras. pt2
August 13, 2025 at 3:35 PM
Are Peter Thiel, Marc Andreessen and the other billionaires behind Trump trying to create corporate city states, using DC as the test case? Why not — they’ve already successfully done it with a for-profit city called Próspera in Honduras. 🪡 pt1

Putin doesn’t need to visit the U.S. — Trump has him on speed dial whenever he needs direction on how to run America. Visiting the U.S. (especially when there’s an intl arrest warrant on you) is meant to be a power move. And choosing Alaska vs. D.C., is all part of Putin’s head game. And ICYMI👇🏽

I feel like it’s a little early to be on the “both parties are the same” train — that usually starts about 3 months before big elections — but Doss.Discourse (who I wish was on BlueSky) has a message.

And while you’re here, it’s “Democratic lawmakers,” or “Democrats,” not “Democrat lawmakers.” This isn’t just about grammar, it’s political. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democra...

Random thought: I just think it’s hilarious that Ice Cube is forever enshrined in Wikipedia as the mascot for the Jheri Curl. 😅 That’s some bad karma.

Every congressional Democrat opposed the #BigUglyBill.
Republicans? They rolled over—giving Trump carte blanche to strip vital services from their own constituents.

Here, Ofirah Yheskel explains why the budget bill is a perfect example of why we need to elect more Democratic governors @demgovs.org

I get why some folks are disappointed Kamala Harris isn’t running for governor—she’s a fighter, and Dem govs are on the front lines. That’s why the governor's races in 2025 & 2026 matter—governors are our last line of defense. I spoke with Ofirah Yheskel of @demgovs.org about these races.

ICYMI: Listen to my entire conversation with @econspeakers.bsky.social expert Jessica Fulton @jessicajfulton.bsky.social on how the GOP's tax bill would further concentrate wealth at the top while offering little to no meaningful help for working families, especially Black households bit.ly/3T78AxV
