Moments ago, Premier Danielle Smith's government made a terrifying decision and introduced legislation to suspend the charter-protected rights of transgender young people in Alberta.

Now is the time to act. Visit www.stop-smith.ca to sign our petition denouncing this draconian erosion of freedom.

A painting from a while back while I remind everyone that I am a trans artist, and if this changes your experience of the work, it's a reflection of your thoughts as much as it is the context of my creation of art.

I at first thought this was a painting I did in 2022, by the thumbnail. Nope, it was a recent one. I wonder what place inspired it.

Food counts as art, right? Red snapper on curly kale topped with a new to me variety of black tomatoes. From garden (and fish market) to plate.

Garden flowers from today. I'm feeling slightly sad, if I could bring flowers to people who are struggling today I would. This is as close as I can get.

We are outraged and deeply distressed that armed federal agents came onto our campus—making arrests on the very ground where, in 1942, Japanese American families were forced to board buses bound for concentration camps. It was a deliberate act of provocation and intimidation.

Realizing the past few weeks of paintings line up. Maybe this is some place in my memory. Reminds me of up Jumbo.
