something sort of like this exists at www.hearadvisor.com/earplug-rank...! my use-case is [autistically protecting my ears from] loud music rather than general daily wear but they cover some fairly low-rated options

this also partially stems from the broad cultural idea that a trans woman can never be a victim to violence or abuse i.e. whatever happens to her is deserved or justified. people of all genders can be acutely aware of the ways they can perpetuate violence ... except when it comes to this situation
