this also partially stems from the broad cultural idea that a trans woman can never be a victim to violence or abuse i.e. whatever happens to her is deserved or justified. people of all genders can be acutely aware of the ways they can perpetuate violence ... except when it comes to this situation

this or cutting out all of the investigations of increasingly tenuous serial killers would've kept me watching it. just leave me the obligatory post opening credits scene where they talk about federal jurisdiction and the fluffy polycule stuff and i'm a happy woman

the first time I ever saw Criminal Minds was after my friends had talked at length about Shemar; I only half paid attention and thought at one point he said "that's Shemar".
thus, I came to believe this was the name of his character, and he regularly confirmed this with his cool catchphrase
