A gravel road snakes its way up to the mountain peak ahead. There's bright-white cloud drifting across the sky. There isn't much vegetation, groups of vicuña were seen harvesting what was available. At 4862 m / 15,950' breathing becomes a noticeable chore. We'll get out and take a slow stumble up a trail for 600 - 800 meters where we'll visit a monument / burial ground to the many who came and stayed here. Chimborazo is a stunning sight at every altitude.

Several boats dot the blue-green, relatively calm Tyrrhenian Sea, on the Amalfi Coast. The green hills give way to clear blue skies with ribbons of white clouds. Our walking path can be seen in the lower-right corner. Torre Clavel, a luxury holiday home rental sits at the point. This weather is a bonus as ferries and boat tours have been shut down due to rough seas and wind.
