It is interesting watching right-wing influencers respond to the protests spreading out from LA and the way they describe it as a great betrayal of the nation.
Many of the same influencers support the January 6th insurrectionists who Trump pardoned who tried to overturn an election.

It seems to me demands on social scientists to do practice oriented research is a form of intellectual centrism, suggesting research is only useful if it can be used by institutions in their current form.
