Like, even if unemployment is technically low that doesn't mean things are going super great

"look at all of the people who are working multiple jobs at once, this is an indicator of a good economy!"

"he only did this because his seat is safe" okay so you're saying he has nothing to gain by doing this?

Does being evil make you an off putting freak, or does being an off putting freak make you evil? Serious conundrum here

Based on context I wasn't quite sure if you were referring to trans kids being targeted or children largely being endangered by their anti vax bullshit, but unfortunately they seem to go hand-in-hand!

Yes, it's true, I don't prefer a reactionary, transmisogynistic, anti-science, pro-infectious disease lens, I admit it

Hey maybe instead of detaining hard working immigrants we should free them abd abolish ICE altogether

As AI gets better more will fall for it, and I'm sure I will, but this is such obvious slop that falling for it really does indicate profound stupidity
December 18, 2025 at 1:09 PM
And if AI does really take over the economy the way they're saying I'm not so sure we will be able to successfully organize to combat the depredations it's going to bring since part of its innovation is a surveillance state intended to nip any resistance in the bud, unlike the industrial revolution

It was only after another few generations of organized labor demanding basic dignity and the near collapse of capitalism that the products of the industrial revolution began to actually benefit the people whose labor it depended on. People make fun of Luddites but history shows they were right
December 17, 2025 at 7:39 PM
People were right to smash steam engines, the industrial revolution ruined their livelihoods and funneled them into factories where for generations people worked in miserable drudgery such that by the end of the 19th century Americans were shorter in height, sicker and lived shorter lives

Yeah but he helped poor people and that's a big no-no from the Dems now

I also think people are more spread out. Around middle school my family moved from the middle of town to a newly developed burb on the outskirts and I no longer had the option of walking to school, even though I preferred it if I could
