It would also have to be a level 3 fast charger to make sense with that business model (20-60 minute stops), which can be a little more technically complicated.

Most of the time the chargers aren’t owned/operated by the business itself, some 3rd party like ChargePoint is doing it and, in my experience, the experience of getting assistance if a finicky pay-charger isn’t working is pretty poor. It’s sad, but I get why businesses don’t want to bother.

About a decade ago now, I was talking with the sustainability chief for a gas station chain (I know), and this was basically the business model he was trying to get them to transition to and just never got the right buy-in

I think there’s truth here and frankly I’m out of patience for the counter argument of (at least) a decade of IDP desperately seeking the “safest” candidates possible and regularly getting creamed

I mean, 4 years ago Indira WON. However frustrating and disappointing what followed was, it’s clear that type of messaging/platform wasn’t a significant turn off
