📍Seattle
A people street forest? How PNW of us!

It’s feeling holly and jolly and such in Downtown Seattle 🎄

Seattle’s living up to its gloomy reputation today ☁️ ☁️ ☁️

I agree with your overall argument here but *more* bridge redundancy could be a good thing along the canal, too.

Building a new bridge on 3rd Ave. W. that is dedicated to 🚎, 🚲, and 🚶‍♂️♿️ could provide a flatter intersection for people on foot + better connect Queen Anne/Interbay to Ballard.

As we wait for Seattle’s first batch of election results, I’ll be enjoying my free scoop of Molly Moon’s ice cream 🍨 🗳️ ✅

Democrats have flipped two seats on the Georgia Public Service Commission; Republicans have held a 5-0 majority since 2009.

This body regulates public utilities in Georgia.

A beautiful fall day in Seattle 🍂🍁🚢

Happy Halloween from my neighborhood traffic circle 🎃

I’m going to assume districts 1, 8, and 15 are somehow legal due to loopholes that Republicans can defend in court, but they’re clearly going against the spirit of the established redistricting guidelines. Sigh.

(Would also argue this for 4, 5, 7, and 9 to a lesser extent)

I-5 and SR 99 traffic jams persist. Should you still drive to Sea-Tac?

1. A white modern box (like the one across the street…) >>> a pit

2. An empty storefront (there aren’t many on Mercer) >>> a pit

3. A storefront + affordable homes only 1.5 blocks from frequent transit >>> a pit

4. Easy access to Seattle’s best bakery (Nielsen’s) AND Taco Bell? Not the pits.

Just had the most bizarre dining experience in Stanwood, WA

Outside: suburban shopping center + some apartments and LOTS of parking

Inside: a painted movie set of sorts featuring historical Downtown Stanwood

Basically a (poorly executed) people-oriented space memorializing a people-oriented space

Downtown Carnation, Washington, has experienced a major glow-up in recent years.

Before (2018): meh
Now: wide sidewalks + 🌳🌼 !

I would’ve done a few things differently (beautiful benches directly next to a state highway? Interesting!), but a major improvement overall!

I also walked by some wonderful sidewalk/curb improvements along the Willcox Walls in Upper Queen Anne.

Nice work, @seattledot.bsky.social! (Before photos via Google Streetview)
