I’m not trying to start an argument and realize this wouldn’t be an ideal scenario.

But if placing a HSR station in Seattle is too big of a financial/political lift, utilizing space near our international airport as a hub wouldn’t be a bad trade off *if* we expand Link + Sounder in an adequate way.

I feel like we don’t really need a station for HSR in Seattle proper?

Let’s build a big station next to IKEA in Renton with frequent Link/Sounder connections to Sea-Tac, Bellevue, Seattle, and Pierce County.

I agree with your overall argument here but *more* bridge redundancy could be a good thing along the canal, too.

Building a new bridge on 3rd Ave. W. that is dedicated to 🚎, 🚲, and 🚶‍♂️♿️ could provide a flatter intersection for people on foot + better connect Queen Anne/Interbay to Ballard.

And I believe Snohomish flipped from Dem-aligned to GOP-aligned for mayor.

I’ve driven to/from Tacoma A LOT this fall and think we’re severely underserving the South Sound with Sounder service. I understand there are challenges with BNSF and such, but more Sounder frequency would be amazing for cities down south… and ferry commuters/tourists from Kingston & Whidbey Island.
