Last year, I (finally) got an "aluminum" (shiny plastic) tree. I had wanted one since I was a child, but my aesthetics were considered inferior; others always demanded a "traditional" tree.
(It rankled.)

I had a problem connecting to a hotel WIFI (MacOS). I don't know if this is what's happening in your case, but it may be similar. This worked for me:

Connect to the public WiFi 2. click on the Apple icon in top left corner. 3. go to system settings -> WiFi 4. make sure that your system is showing connected to the public WiFi you are to join 5. click on details of connected public WiFi network 6. click on DNS and under DNS Servers IPv4 or IPv6 address delete all the entires your computer will let you delete 7. might ask for computer password - enter password 8. click Click ok will ask for your password again and enter your password 9. the login page will load in a few a seconds 10. Done

I played harp by the ocean this evening. The weather was lovely, if a bit chilly. Here are scenes taken before and after the harpery.

We (and another couple) are visiting a friend who is converting into her new role as care-er for her increasingly senile husband.

Sometimes, I play harp out in the redwood forest. This was in Stout Grove, in Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park. As I was hiking out, I saw this sunbeam, set my harp in it, and snapped this photo.
My small wirestrung Celtic lap harp, sitting in a sunbeam at the base of a huge, gnarly, burled coastal redwood tree, Background is a green thicket of ferns and young redwood trees. Beyond that is a copse of mature redwoods.

A golden sky, with clouds - high cirrus clouds, lower clouds are fluffier, lowest clouds are ocean-surface marine fog. Back and on the left, Castle Rock, a large seastack/island, peeks above the marine layer into the fluff. The ocean is calm. In the foreground is a near-shore seastack with a small tree on top. Sunset reflects a golden swath from Castle Rock to the near-shore rock, backlighting the tree.

My evening walk.

Rain forecast for tomorrow, Sunday should be nice, though. I plan to go out and play harp Sunday evening. Seven forty-five, if you want to come by.
A fishing boat heads out. Three sea stacks are visible; there are gulls on the nearest one. A group of sea lions - three, I think - swimming right to left. These were maybe 20m offshore. Sunset-lit clouds behind Castle Rock, the largest seastack/island in the area, in the far center. There are smaller seastacks in the foreground. The closest has a small tree growing on it. They all are covered with birds.

The lighthouse, which appears as a distant spire in the center of the picture, is clearly visible although blurred by the marine layer mist. It is near sunset and the sky is yellow-orange. In the lower right, there is a truck camper parked on Preston Island. No longer a true island; it was quarried to build the harbor jetty ca. 1920 and is now a tombolo/tied island accessible by a short road.

Yes! Sometimes, if I think the weather forecast is reliable, I'll schedule an "event" on Facebook and share it to local groups. Many times, though, I'll just go serendipity and play just for me and anyone who happens by. This particular place has stair access down to the beach/tidepools.
