Suggesting that government cannot operate like a business is shortsighted. Strategy needs to be developed. Resources need to managed. Services need to be delivered. Standards maintained etc.

Performative has become an overused criticism of politicians. Carney is running his government like a business. Senior management ie cabinet has to be on the page otherwise main priorities won’t be achieved.

I prefer that progressives aren’t split. The alternative gives conservatives an easier path to winning elections.

With the NDP losing official party status, I am looking forward to a decreased number of NDP pundits/commentators on various political shows. Seeing less of Lavigne would be welcome.

To his credit, Dutton congratulated his victors and resigned.

Canada’s anti-woke crusader lost the election and his seat and went looking for a safe riding to run again in at taxpayer expense. I doubt he will come away from the experience more humbled and more tolerant.
