Very true. Do you not feel a little better about the group that came up and the folks coming up behind them? That could be where we splinter. I think Cannon/Burke/Martin making a 75-90 starts is a big hurdle to this version of the Sox. Smith and Schultz could transform the ceiling of the rotation.

Maybe! I don’t love what Mike Elias does with drafts in regard to pitching. But I see merit in that risk averse approach. But I look at this current Sox team, and it’d be barren if they did not take a risk on Crochet. The org, for whatever reason, is adept at developing guys like Smith.
