No, he immediately reminded Shadow that being a "weapon" doesn't define him or Emerl. That long as you have a soul like both do, they'd never cause harm.

So no, Sonic would never use someone's dirty past -

But instead of addressing Shadow's concern, Sonic instantly goes "by your logic, I should kill you too!". A very dirty and manipulative tactic.

In a similar scenario, when Shadow raises concern that Emerl was made a weapon and could be dangerous, so he must be destroyed, Sonic didn't go-

In IDW (which acknowledge games as canon btw), Sonic has no issue guilttripping Shadow with his past to get his point across. Making it seem that Shadow, by his logic, is forever evil for the one bad thing he did — all because he experienced first hand how memory loss is dangerous. -

Which is why it doesn't make sense to me that he would attack Belle. If the games are canon to IDW, he should've retained that aspect of development by now.

He'd be able to tell when a robot is harmless and not attack it just because he was bored. Because same situation, he didn't.

Interesting how Amy changed Sonic's entire perspective on robots

He went from destroying them without hesitation to understanding not all of them are evil and even looking out for the harmless ones.
