Tands is the gold-standard Bo’s franchisee. I grew up in Kinston, where they’re headquartered, and was real disappointed when I started experiencing BoJangle’s elsewhere.

A little off-topic, but the Bojangle’s in Washington, NC, has shockingly good ranch dressing, made in-house. Haven’t run into that at any other Bo’s.

+1 -- especially the first (Path to Power) and third books (Master of the Senate). Book 1 shows how LBJ was able to build power bases in really unexpected places. Book 3 shows how he bent the Senate to his will in an extraordinarily short time (2 terms).
