Yet at the same time these self identified perfect specimens (Epstein, Musk, et all) are blind to their own genetic quirks. Instead of taking the lesson that maybe some genetic diversity is good, they decide only their flawed understanding of the human genome matters.

Yeah….I keep thinking about all the right wing men that think there was a vast, moneyed organization in Minneapolis because they offered sandwiches and free hand warmers. Because these dudes can’t pack their kids lunches without texting their wife 3x. We can, we just should have to or pay for it.

I just waded through a bunch of charts some economist posted to prove AOC is wrong, that the working has been doing well for wage growth vs inflation, and it is the economic angst of the upper middle class driving the bad vibes. And this was in BlueSky. Lord knows what is like on X.

If you don't want to do this kind of writing/journalism, fine. But to condemn it as never going to work/do more harm makes me feel you don't inhabit the same world as I do. (NVM it was in the freaking Atlantic, they have committed bigger sins against journalism.)

I can give you a hundred examples of how this works. I understand you are loyal to your profession, but it's clouding your judgement of reality. All you need is for parents to say, wait, this can happen? It's not just how the IG mom says?

Because all the anti vax stuff is essentially fake, but they don't identify it and they know how to prey on parent insecurity. You all act like the journalist didn't say it was a fictional narrative at the end while every medical fact was correct.

You are coming as a journalist. I am coming as a nurse. You are never going to reach the hard core anti vax parents, but we need to reach parents being swayed by a monetized anti vax movement that use emotional stories. I can see this raising ?? at the next pediatric visit, which would be amazing.

As a nurse 1/3 of the people I see need this kind of emotional format. Another 1/3 needs short form videos. Before anyone says I'm talking down to people, I feel I'm just meeting them where they are given other pressing needs in their life. Besides, it is first non technical piece I saw about SSPE.

I should be surprised parents support this. But given that you guarantee your kid will get some level of brain damage playing tackle football there needs to be both more education and parental accountability.

I'm sure and I see it. But it's more people see a dog running on a street or through their yard on short term missing. Long term missing the dog is scared and won't come to people. They aren't posing for a ring camera.

As a side issue, as a dog owner and frequent reading of missing dog forums, your lost dog is not posing in convenient view or your neighbors front door. So even the feel good story is complete BS.

For me this answers with the question of exactly did Epstein get so rich? There are few financiers that buy a whole island. I assumed the girls/women gave him access to people with power & money.

Every time I look at these guys I think: They have a Punisher sticker on the back of their expensive pickup the don’t need. They never read the comic book and don’t realize Frank Castle would shoot them. They are pathetic.

In hospice Medicare pays for nurse visits, supplies, rescue meds for comfort, social work & pastoral care. You can get supplies for personal care & oxygen.It’s what home care should be. So yes, people with end stage chronic diseases enter hospice and still alive 6 months instead of dead.

I just want to say it's just about as evil to cozy up/ignore child sex abuse to get access & power. Most if the names being talked about in relation to Epstein probably can truthfully say they never touched a child, but that doesn't mean they are without sin.
