Great shout on Bubba. I may be wrong but I think we wanted him for ST coordinator at some point.

Agreed, I think the team needs multi-threats and YAC guys a la CMC and Deebo more than a top wideout like Aiyuk or someone like Justin Jefferson..if you can have both, do, but we maximise players like Kittle and Jennings where other teams can't anyway. I'm backing Pearsall long term.

I'm just like you guys :) I just always try and see what the team are doing..with Kyle and John I've always thought they seem pretty competent so there must be a reason why. Think I can probably count on one hand their decisions i didn't get. But this whole Aiyuk saga is definitely one

Which is what Lombardi, as much crap as people give him, has said all along. We were and are following the Rams 'remodel not rebuild' strat on D. We will probably have to do the same on O at some point (OL is going to look bleak without Trent)

Thought experiment - does the Kyle Shanahan offense *need* top-paid wideouts? Obviously nice to have a playmaker but I was surprised we kept (at the time) Deebo *and* Aiyuk.

Tbh even winning 9 games feels good. I thought we had a shot this year but I had little expectations even without the injuries given the youth on D. It's been a fun season, I hope the team gets its due and gets into the playoffs.

Greenlaw though, I think they'd have liked to have kept. In fairness though if they had kept a 28 year old LB off a torn achilles over Aiyuk and BA had played well elsewhere, I think the team would've got it in the neck. No-win situation. I wouldn't have paid Aiyuk but paying Deebo opened the door.

Just gonna chip in on this and say I don't think they wanted to keep Hufanga in the end. Not at 13m/year. They'd drafted Mustapha and Brown previously. I think they wanted to keep Hufanga until he tore his ACL, but injuries mounted after that. IDK could be wrong I just never felt the urgency.

MVP level Deebo was an incredible sight

Agree, although that loss broke me as I think we would've steamrolled the Bengals!

Been a fun year. No expectations (so far anyway!) Helps
