I'm so relieved to finally get this one up as a preprint. We started this project back in 2019 when we created our first gemcitabine (GEMC) resistant (GEMR) #PDAC cell line. We showed that GEMR upregulates lipid synthesis and that targeting different steps could sensitise cells to GEMC. 1/n 🧪👩‍🔬

ω-7 & ω-10 PUFA: While both can be detected in neonatal skin lipids and some cancer cells (www.nature.com/articles/s41...), the ω-7 PUFA, but no ω-10 PUFA are found in liver tissue of obese mice on a high sugar & fat diet with MASH liver disease (pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1...). What is FADS2 up to?
