The GOP hates democracy (2).
NEW: Attorney General Ken Paxton’s crusade against alleged voter fraud has led to the criminal prosecution of six Democratic officials, all Latino, in Frio County, Texas. Civil rights groups say the charges are politically motivated and aim to suppress Latino civic participation.

The @GOP really hates democracy.
🚨🚨🚨Sneaky little bastards

Tucked deep in the thousand-plus pages of the GOP’s multitrillion-dollar budget bill is a paragraph curtailing a court’s greatest tool for forcing the government to obey its rulings: the power to enforce contempt findings. www.yahoo.com/news/trump-c...

Biden didn't interfere with the prosecution, it ran its course.
Pardons are ideally for those who've turned their lives around or were abused by the system.
Hunter fits both categories.
Former federal prosecutor Harry Litman: "But in fact, President Biden’s pardon was justified and falls within the heartland of executive clemency cases. A clear-eyed analysis of the facts, the law, and, crucially, DOJ standard practice in Hunter Biden’s case establishes this."
Night of the Hunter
You could almost hear the howls of protest begin on Capitol Hill the moment President Biden announced he was granting a pardon to his son, Hunter.

Trump wants to replace all federal taxes with #tariffs
The total of U.S. imports in 2023 were $3.8 trillion.
The total U.S. government spending in 2023 was $6.1 trillion.
Spending would have to be cut in half and a 100% tariff on all imports, with no ensuing drop in imports, to make it work.

Boomers: Remember this:

"Your old road is rapidly agin'
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'"

It's time for us to step aside and hand leadership to the younger generations.

Sitting is not a crime.
Resting is not a crime.
Sleeping is not a crime.
Camping is not a crime.
Being poor is not a crime.
Needing help is not a crime.

Homelessness is not a crime, it’s a policy failure.

Patriotism is loving your country for what it can be, while opposing that which stands in the way.

Tipping is not optional!
It’s part of the social contract. You do not get severely discounted food because both you and the owner decided to shift the cost of your meal to the server.

No policy Harris could have proposed would have changed the outcome.
No targeted or mass audience marketing she could have done would have changed the outcome.
Trump sold fear, and sold himself as the cure to that fear.
Americans knowingly voted for fascism.

The GOP really hates democracy. They stripped elected democrats of the power of their offices.
It started out as a bill about dentistry, which they hollowed out and called something else to retain power after they lost their super majority, at the hands of the electorate of North Carolina, of all people.
GOP state lawmakers called it a third round of Helene relief for western North Carolina, but the vast majority of a 131-page bill is dedicated to changes in government. Written in secret and released an hour before it was debated, the bill passed both chambers last week.
