Water is starting to clear up after only a day, so that’s a good sign. 👍
I squeezed the established sponge filter into this tank hoping to kick off the cycle with good bacteria. I still plan on running it for at least week before I test the parameters.

The used tank didn’t come with a lid, so I made one out of plexiglass, and picked up a light. No heater needed for the fancy goldfish.

Drilled small holes and turned this skull into a bubbler. Also added the 100 gallon sponge filter from my other tank to cycle it quickly. Water is still cloudy, but that’s to be expected. Also order some plants yesterday

Picked up a used 60 gallon cube aquarium for cheap.
I rescued a couple of black moor goldfish who are going to outgrow my 20 gallon soon, so I figured that I better come up with a solution. Set it up with an “E” shape 4” PVC pipe tunnel, black river stones, and black sand.

A retired Fire Chief, Vietnam veteran Navy Corpsman, and UCC Reverend, he lived his life in public service in such a way so as not to be eulogized as a “divisive figure”.

I tucks a standard 9v battery clip behind the F-hole using “alien tape” so I didn’t drill and holes. The guts of the system are really compact.
