As an attorney, I find this ruling bizarre if not inexplicable. I haven't read the opinion but from the coverage it appears the judge admits the search was unconstitutional but still grants the rouge agents absolute immunity. That's just bullshit (a technical legal term) imo.

“A federal lawsuit brought by more than 35 Iowa college athletes against state investigators was dismissed Wednesday, as a judge ruled that the investigators had immunity in obtaining the athletes' sports wagering data, even though their search would be classified as unconstitutional.”

Congratulations to Scott Unash & Mark Dukes on their run as "The Gym Class on KGYM"

Another Rob Norton master stroke.

They did things their way. I did things my way. It worked, I think.

Please keep supporting what's left of local media, be it print, TV, radio, etc.

Chuck is not the person I got to know when we served together in the Iowa House + for several years thereafter. We may have had different perspectives on key issues but I always regarded him as a person of integrity. That appears to be no longer the case and it's sad to see that's how he fades away.
This isn't just taking a swing. This is sending one well over the center field fence.
Here’s my latest column: Donald Trump hurt Chuck Grassley’s feelings!

I didn't intend to get diverted this morning. Oh, well...

This is my best recollection of some of the "recent" (1970s on) history of certain aspects of the #Hawkeyes Athletic Department operations. Part of that comes from information provided to me at that time by the individuals directly involved.

One new thing we've learned is that Chuck Schumer is an excellent spelunker. He definitely knows how to cave. And being spineless is apparently a benefit when doing so.

Tesla's stock is ridiculously overvalued, and even a modest consumer boycott could tank the company, which accounts for the majority of Elon Musk's wealth.

Cooper (That Was Not a Fair Catch Signal) DeJean!!!

Note to #NFL Teams. If you're drafting defensive backs or tight ends - the first place you should always look is at the Iowa #Hawkeyes.

Especially stop drafting over-rated Notre Dame players! I'm looking at you #Bears...

This is what we now have: "Project 2025" running the government + Trump as President for his ego, to avoid criminal prosecution, and more importantly to line his own pockets - graft/corruption (self-dealing, "bribes", business deals here & abroad), likely pocketing much of the inauguration $$, etc.
Serious question: can the president just spend all his time in office suing people and then use the litigation as a "legal" way of accepting bribes via "settlements"?

At this rate the #Hawkeyes aren't going to earn a NIT appearance - so no worries for the (extremely few) fans pondering that possibility. Right now the MBB program looks like it should be moved to hospice.
Don’t get swept up and spend money on an NIT final four appearance.

3 things about this NFC game.

Phenomenal TD catch by Sam LaPorta - 1 of the best I've ever seen.

Tom Brady shouldn't even be allowed to do this game - blatant and notorious tampering with Ben Johnson. What a joke.

And, 3rd, #Bears just offer Ben Johnson the world and get this done.

With apologies (sort of) to my friends who are long-time Packers fans (and none to Domers)...

Just like my 2nd favorite college football team is whichever one is playing Notre Dame -- my 2nd favorite NFL team is whichever one is playing the Packers.

Didn't like the #Bears deciding to Ferentz (turtle) on that drive. Too early with that lead and a legit chance to win the game.

Why even bother to have the targeting rule anymore. #B1G Officials COMPLETELY blow that call (before and after the review). Almost like somebodies want Texas to win this game...

For #Bears fans my forever green tweet/bleet. Always remember: Ryan Pace had the chance to draft life-long Bears fan George Kittle and skipped over him - just like he skipped Patrick Mahomes to draft Mitch Trubisky. I don't know how stupid a person can be but hard to imagine much worse than that.

That's interesting and kind of fun. I've been lucky enough to have been to 47 out of those 50. Which means I really spent too much time in the air back in the day...
18 and I’m actually impressed.
I've been to 20 of these cities.

How many have you been to? 👀 #bluesky
