This is Violet - isn't she beautiful? For some reasons the other outdoor ducks all picked on her and no matter what social combination we tried she ended up hiding, so we brought her indoors to live with the bunnies and special needs birds.

We’ve had lots of people drop off their Christmas trees for the residents this past week! They love them when they are fresh and tender (but won’t eat them if they’re too dead and dry), and it is good enrichment for them to strip the delicate needles off. 🌲

Undated postcard from my collection. I love the white business on the side! It kind of seems like an accident rather than a deliberate choice but it looks very cool.

Adding to this is the fact that something has gone wrong in the photographic or printing process on the right half of the photo and a jagged white shape appears to take over the image from the side. This doesn’t seem deliberate, more like an accident, as I’ve never seen it before in any other photo or postcard, but the effect is very cool.
