Kinda like my idea of one in every ten of these should be mounted on a rigid steel pole

I finally had to replace one of the LED bulbs I installed when we bought the house. Over 13 years ago. LED bulbs were quite new, and I think these were close to $50 a piece back then. But 13+ years is amazing, look at that heat sink. The new ones are cheaper but not nearly so well engineered.

Life made riding the last few weeks a bit challenging, but holy smokes has this week been amazing. Just fantastic conditions and still so many riders out and about. #yycbike

Always have one thing in your kitchen that truly terrifies you. 😂

Not really, pressure canning just requires a suitable attention to detail.

Splendid bike racks at the new Oakridge Co-op. This is how it should be done.

Our resident backyard bunny. They've been hanging out for a few weeks, we think they live under the deck and there may be a few of them.

Working from home today and I'm noticing how much the old pupper sleeps during the day. She's almost 14 and if she needs a few naps I'm all for it.

Old engineers are incorrigible, we just need a paper notebook. So I picked up a new one yesterday, and it was a pleasant surprise it was made in Canada. Who knew?

Sometimes the city makes some odd choices for temporary signage. This is at the bottom of a hill in the middle of a narrow pathway entrance.

Someone must have complained because now it is in the middle of the pathway halfway up the hill.

Rode through today, still a random jersey barrier blocking part of one side. But otherwise easy breezy.

Such a dumb thing, but it seemed so inane to me that it was closed for years.

A bit later than planned due to work etc., but sprung the convertible out of its winter storage today. Even at 8C it was sunny enough to enjoy a quick rip around. (Old photo, forgot to take one today)
