Micol Kasca on Light, Odin.
They threw every "evil leftist" word they know at the bio and then you go back enough and see pro-AI and right winger posts. It's genuinely embarassing.

Let's be real, that tweet was manufactured. You open the profile and it's clearly a bait account they just made a few months ago to signal to RWs that they are based and redpilled. It's pathetic and really shows their real colours.

It's not a deal breaker but it's a bigger time investment of not very fun content that I have to do to not feel like crap. That usually leads me to prefer go play new things instead.

Hence why, to go back to extremes, I would have to make a specific PF about relearning the fight becore going into farm parties. But those will take a long time to form, will take a long time to clear and I could have avoided doing that had I kept playing in the past.

This isn't a matter of comunication but strictly related to my enjoyment of games as a whole. I have fun if I am performing as well as I feel I can. If I have some expectations out of myself, and I play badly, cause I am rusty, it feels like shit and it especially does if I am with others.

I know I am not an asshole, I also don't want to feel like one. Casual content such as a dungeon isn't what I had in mind. I am not going to jump into an extreme I used to do without relearning it first to de-rust, it's basic courtesy and respecting other people's time

I don't like how sometimes you make a super valid argument and people start dissecting your opinion as if you're weird for it.
Especially in multiplayer games I wouldn't want to inconvenience others if I am rusty, I'd feel like an asshole.

I could argue that, thanks to memes, even a name like Tim Buckley will remain known far longer than Dilbert Dude whose name I already forgot will

Oh maybe I didn't explain myself properly. I love LR the most in this trilogy and it's the one that perfected the gameplay XIII was going for.
LR, however, has no reason to exist as a sequel and I think it underdelivers in everything it tries to do plot-wise.

If they did, they'd know that there is sci-fi.
It's FF, they all do

People get so hung up complaining about things that are not problems like L'cie and Fal'cie (it's literally just warrior of light and crystal but BAD) that they don't see 13's actual faults, which are numerous.
January 8, 2026 at 8:52 PM
The battle system is fun until it's not. The weapon upgrades are ridicolously convoluted, the enemies HP gets bloated, all of Pulse is annoying, paradigm shift giving back ATB after a few seconds has passed is never explained, that horrible, horrible final dungeon. 13 is tedium with good intentions

FF13 is a bad game with some good ideas, none of which are realized well.
13-2 has better ideas and better execution, but it still doesn't stick the landing.
LR has terrible ideas all around but somehow it delivers on them very well and is the funnest of the 3 as a game.
Weird weird games.

Prove you finished that game instead of just listening to the soundtrack and maybe I will listen.
And I will tell you, then, that you are still wrong.

Punch stuff! Spend balls! Use Six sided star to deal with the lack of ranged moves!

Of course

The company that makes my favorite videogames of all time is fucking Square Enix. I always talk about my problems with SE with anyone I recommend their games to. They will choose where to stand and I can't judge them for it.

I do see how someone could take this and just say "well no ethical consumption lol guess I'll just get everything and not care lmao". It's the simple act of caring about what you are doing and being willing to research and be informed that differentiates an informed consumer from a mindless one.
December 18, 2025 at 6:09 PM
With big companies you will never know how cruelly the sausage was made. I believe we have to pick and choose what to buy and support and not shame other people for their choices, as long as they were informed. The shame is on the producer for being amoral, not on the consumer.

You are the first person that came to mind when I saw that

I think the 3D/NDS version is totally worth it for the cool low poly style and differences. It's also easily the most challening one and has good cutscenes. I like the augment system too, even if it's a bit simple.

5, it's the most replayable. Just randomize the classes to give your characters at every crystal and see what happens.
December 4, 2025 at 8:05 AM
To trick ya. I'd say FFVI PR is an amazing version but all of the other ones sure aren't and it's still debatable which version is the best.

I'd say it goes:
I-II: PSP (GBA acceptable)
III: I prefer 3D/NDS, some prefer PR
IV: 3D/NDS (lacks After Years, which is a net positive)
V: GBA
VI: PR

The recontextualization that the emperor's soul had to be defeated both in Hell and in Heaven (and that the Heaven Emperor is just an SMT law-like "benevolent dictator") is so fucking tight. FFII is the best NES FF and I am tired of the slander.
