There was even a whole exhibit × (!) claiming Indigenous people are "integrated" into American culture, using caricatures on brands as proof, and framed it as powerful and honorable.

Rather than learning about the various tribes, distinct cultures throughout North America, and indigenous sovereignty today, I read history about how treaties were a "mutual agreement" and how colonizers were initially peaceful (contrary to the images that had them bearing swords upon arrival)
