A bit of a shocker of a week having to deal with other people’s various rages, none of which I think I have induced. (None on Blue Sky, tg) Anyway… have rolled into the Academy Club early to find this still life painting waiting to happen.

I go away for two weeks and all sorts of new places open in Soho. The most striking is Manzi’s. Originally a 1920s Italian fish restaurant, the same vintage as Quo Vadis, the Wolseley Group bought the name, some chic furnishings and good blue paint. It’s “soft launch” week. Table booked. Let’s see

Very blue sky. And the Palazzo delle Poste in Palermo: Mazzoni, 1920s, and an awesome sight when you’ve just emerged from the dilapidated back streets.
