Blue Bird's Song is a beautifully animated game by @purple-meadows.bsky.social. Filled with bucolic simile and metaphor, the story reads like the fairytale version of a old-timey ballad. Follow a trio of sisters as they navigate love, dreams for the future, and the oppression of an archaic society.
An older woman clad in purple and green looks out into the orange sky. The text next to her reads "The invisible thread binds / And unites one to their own kind / And torments with their absence" Three girls laugh in a meadow at sunset. Two choices are presented to the player for what happens next: "Their laughter mingles with the birdsong." or "A shadow passes in the sky." The three girls from the previous picture stand in front of a shop with a sign on the front. A man in a vest points to the sign and says "Good morning ladies, yes indeed. But I'm sorry, only a man can purchase the premises. You know the rule." One of the three girls from before, with short blue hair and an orange dress, stands next to the man she loves. Letters float around the screen. The instructions at the bottom say "Catch the letters that fly around the lovers to make words."

Bonjour, Le 28 septembre, nous célébrons la Journée mondiale du droit à l’avortement. En France, ce droit est inscrit dans la Constitution depuis 2024, mais il reste encore trop fragile. Entre attaques des mouvements antichoix, désinformation et délais d’attente trop longs, l’accès à l’IVG est encore loin d’être garanti pour tous·tes. Aux États-Unis, des millions de femmes n’ont plus accès à l’avortement depuis l’annulation de Roe v. Wade et l’offensive conservatrice de Donald Trump. En Europe, leurs droits sont aussi remis en question. Partout, le droit à disposer de son corps est menacé. L’avortement est désormais inscrit dans la Constitution, mais il reste inégalement accessible. Les personnes en milieu rural, migrantes, mineures ou en situation de précarité rencontrent encore de nombreux obstacles : peur du jugement, tabous persistants, délais d’attente, manque de structures… Au Planning familial, nous offrons un accueil gratuit, anonyme et sans jugement. Yesterday, I painted a small ceramic vase in a ceramic coffee shop. It was fun, but also difficult. I wanted to write words of gratitude, but it was so difficult that I didn't do it after all. Also, the color won't be the same. I can't wait to see the final result.
