The people who thought their power and position were endangered are still around and still fighting and in some cases still passing their bigotry to their children. We moved on but they didn’t.

Also, if they *preemptively* put Oreos and peanut butter together, how are you supposed to realize, in the isolation cabin at camp, that you and the girl with your exact same face share the weird quirk of enjoying Oreos with peanut butter, shortly before figuring out that you are long-lost twins?
