We are very excited today to announce that Wendy Eisenberg will be joining the family of artists here at Joyful Noise Recordings. Joining them on the roster is another of Wendy's projects, Editrix. Editrix are an acclaimed noise-rock trio with Steve Cameron and Josh Daniel accompanying Eisenberg.

Dare to Be Surprised will be available 3/21 on standard edition white vinyl. It'll also be available in VIP Edition "Citrus Wedge" vinyl, which includes a flexi disc live performance of "That's the Trick" and "Checking In" from the era.

Dare to Be Surprised represents a contrasting yet natural progression of the band's nascent style. Through its newly clarified sound - a bright left turn from the lo-fi Take a Look Inside - it becomes clear that this record is the occasion of an important band finding its aural footing.

It was also one of the last albums recorded by the late great Steve Albini. Albini's legendary recordist skills shine through wonderfully on the album - leaving in little nudges and foot tap sounds in addition to the pedal steel and vocals. It just adds to the surreality of the music.

I said it the other day, but this is pure experimental pedal steel and vocals - there's nothing quite like it, and we're really excited to be the ones to put out this debut album.

Out now! We are excited to release "Bull Market on Corn" by New Orthodox today.

New Orthodox is on the road in April! The live show is CRUCIAL with this artist - freaked out vocals + pedal steel. Tickets are on sale soon but here are the dates. Mark your calendars.

The Well I Fell Into (Demos) LP contains the original tracks from Yoni Wolf’s time in our Artist Enabler Club, remastered in stereo and sequenced to match the “proper” album. These demos became “The Well I Fell Into,” WHY?’s album from last year. We present them here in a pure, beautiful form.
